Application Portal opens January 8, 2020.
Are you thinking about starting or scaling up social enterprise work in the Region of Durham? New federal funding is available for local social purpose organizations to grow their positive impact in the community through social enterprise. Community Foundations of Canada is now accepting applications for federal funding designed to support positive impact in the community through social enterprise.
Investment Readiness Program (IRP) funding can be used to research, launch, design, promote, measure, and scale up your social enterprise. Funds are intended to be used to access expert advice or services or create dedicated staff capacity.
The program is open to charities, non-profits, co-operatives and forprofit social enterprises considering starting or wanting to grow a social purpose business.
The application portal opens on Wednesday January 8, 2020, and closes Monday February 10, 2020.
Durham Community Foundation is collaborating with Toronto Foundation to promote the Investment Readiness Program in Toronto, York, and Durham Regions.
Applicants can request between $10,000 - $100,000.

Toronto Foundation will be confirming successful applications in spring 2020 and will open an additional application period later in 2020. This project is part of the Investment Readiness Program, funded by the Government of Canada's SI/SF Strategy.
